Project Description
LEAP is the Framework Soils Consultant for the Council and has completed numerous phased ground investigations (desk study and intrusive site investigations) for the Council (a Registered Provider). Previous uses of sites investigated include former lock up garage sites, industrial and retail units, public open space and land parcels adjacent to former landfill sites. Investigation methods used include trial pitting, windowless boreholes, cable percussion boreholes, cone penetration testing (CPT), rotary boreholes and gas and groundwater monitoring.
As a trusted project partner LEAP have been involved very early in the development site selection process, providing crucial information on potential abnormal ground conditions. Early involvement by LEAP on these projects has assisted the client in confirming site viability, ensuring that appropriate budgets are set prior to design and enabled sustainable and cost-efficient engineering solutions to be designed prior to contract.
All investigations have been undertaken in accordance with the specified framework conditions and charging rates.
As well as providing due diligence and design stage input, LEAP Engineers have worked alongside remediation and main build contractors validating works to ensure a smooth and timely sign off of sites at project completion, prior to final occupation.
