I am a chartered and Ph.D-qualified consultant with an academic background in life sciences. The first 6 years of my professional experience were within contractual remediation of contaminated land. I have been involved in numerous contaminated land projects across the UK and Europe encompassing gasworks, manufacturing works, fuel depots and filling stations initially as a site supervisor and latterly as a consultant.
I joined Leap in November 2015 when an opportunity arose via a former colleague. Prior to my appointment I had worked for two of the country’s largest, multidisciplinary consultancies.
My current role involves supporting the regional managers of 2 of our 5 regional offices with all aspects of project delivery from producing estimates, site investigation design, supervision of site works, report writing, report review, junior staff mentoring and client liaison.
Leap is a highly professional and respected consultancy but also a friendly and relaxed place to work. There is a focus on personalised career development. I particularly enjoy the refreshingly practical and functional approach to work procedures at Leap which reduces the ‘red tape’ so inherent in other organisations.
