Awards
LEAP has a strong background in innovation and product development around the arena of brownfield land remediation and site investigation.
In 2012 this effort was recognised by winning the best remediation verification at a national brownfield land awards ceremony. The 2012 win was improved upon in 2015 with a double win at the same awards, this time for best site investigation and best scientific advancement.
The 2012 win recognised the collaboration within the project team to deliver a highly sensitive remediation using innovative in situ testing and data assessment techniques to deliver a significant saving to the local authority client.
The 2015 award winning site investigation was for another local authority client and was in recognition of the intensive stakeholder liaison and state of the art investigation conception and design, as well as the pioneering toxicological risk assessment employed. The scientific advancement award was for new online contaminated land data management software “Veridata” that LEAP has developed.
In 2017, LEAP was awarded Best Environmental & Geotechnical Consultancy in the Home Builder Awards.
Memberships
LEAP is an active member of the Association of Geotechnical and Geo-environmental Specialists (AGS); and the Society of Brownfield Risk Assessors (SoBRA); and is registered with both British Standards Institute, and CIRIA.
QEMS
LEAP operates a certified (ISO9001) Quality Management System that covers all aspects of the company’s business ensuring consistency and high quality of the services we provide.
We also operate a certified (ISO14001) Environmental Management System which helps to keep environmental management central in our operations, and support our ethos of providing sustainable solutions for clients.
Health and Safety
LEAP is ISO45001 accredited. A strong Health and Safety culture is at the heart of LEAP’s successful operations, both on site and in the offices.
In addition to our externally-audited Health and Safety Scheme, we are members of various externally-audited SSIP (Site Safety in Procurement) registered schemes such as SMAS, Constructionline, and CQMS.
LEAP is a member of Mates In Mind (www.matesinmind.org/). In keeping with current thinking, LEAP also operates a wellness programme to promote health issues to all staff, ranging from organised weekly sports social events to healthy eating and fitness education.
